The husband lights his last cigarette before rethinking his marriage. Then a hitman (Ferrer) enters to buy cigarettes and coffee before hitting the road.

24 hours in L.A.; it's raining cats and dogs. A weather man is reluctantly sent to cover a story about a weather forecasting "rat" (as he calls it). This is his fourth year on the story, and he makes no effort to hide his frustration. Knowing they can't just go in and say they want her, they come up with a plan so that the owner will welcome them into his home and they can find a way.
