This volume starts with new danger beasts roaming around the Capital killing citizens. After hearing this, Tatsumi and the rest of Night Raid decide to help the Capital because they don't want more people to die. Tatsumi and Lubbo patrol the mountains late at night. Tatsumi leaves Lubbo and goes to the top of the mountain where he encounters Esdeath. Esdeath already has a crush on Tatsumi from their last meeting. At this point, an unfamiliar figure approaches both of them. This unsuspecting figure uses the power of his tiagu to teleport them to an uninhabited island off the coast of the Capital. Esdeath views this as a date.The artwork is typical of Japanese manga style with black and white panels and dramatic movement.The central conflict of this volume is the new danger that has come up with the beasts against everyone. The other conflict is Tatsumi trying to get away from Esdeath and back off the island. Both conflicts get resolved at the end of this volume. You have to read this one, if you have read the others.

The true ending of the beautiful manga is different from its anime counterpart. It’s the final showdown between the emperor and Night Raid plus those in support of rebelling against the imperial powers. Esdeath, a high ranking general sadistic killer who became the leader of the Jaegers, stands at the forefront of the battle. There are numerous showdowns, including the young emperor himself against Wave and Tatsumi as well as Esdeath vs Akame. The entire story follows Tatsumi as he goes to the capital to find a way to make money so he can help his home village. Once he reaches the capital, Tatsumi realizes the empire is full of corruption, and he’s taken in by the infamous Night Raid. Night Raid is an assassination group and part of the revolutionary forces planning to overthrow the empire. Unlike many stories, Takahiro writes this masterpiece in a unique way. Throughout the manga itself, the reader assumes Tatsumi to be the main character since the story is told from his perspective. Once the reader finishes the entire manga series, the realization that Akame is the main character of the series hits them suddenly. The title Akame Ga Kill! Literally means “Akame slashes!”. This is one of the most interesting thing about the way the manga is written. I found myself on the edge of my seat while reading the last volume of an amazing manga. While most of the gore and unflattering images from all volumes of the manga would turn many people away, it intrigued me even further. It fueled my thirst to know more about the empire and why it was so corrupted as well as my hunger for a great adventure story. There were many character deaths however. In my personal belief, it was needed to show the readers just how corrupt the empire was and what lengths many would have gone to restore peace. Each character had his/her own character development as the manga went on, including Tatsumi and Akame. The readers are able to fully grasp how each character grew as the manga drew to a close, and it may leave many in shock when these are the ones who die painfully, especially if they were extremely close to Tatsumi and/or Akame such as Leone. Leone is a big sister figure to many of the younger members of the Night Raid gang. She’s also Akame’s best friend. Before her bittersweet death, Leone was offered medical help from Akame, but declined, saying she wanted to choose when and where she dies. After saying goodbye, Leone spends one last night out with her friends, then dies in very same spot she first met Tatsumi.Another interesting thing is the amount of world play Takahiro uses with the characters’ names. Akame is a combination of the Japanese words “aka” and “me”. “Aka” is the Japanese word for the color red while “me” means eye. Akame literally translates to “red eyed”, and the title of the manga series is translated to “The Red Eyed Killer”. Another effect of this word play is Akame has red eyes. The same type of word play is also used with the name Kurome, Akame’s younger sister. “Kuro” is the Japanese word for the color black, and she’s portrayed with black eyes. Esdeath’s name is also another word play. Her Japanese name is Esdesu, which is a play on the phrase “S, desu” meaning “I am an S(sadist)”.The ending of the manga was bittersweet as well. While the revolutionary forces won in the end, Night Raid ended up splitting up with each going on their own path. It was heartwarming to know they all wanted to pursue paths for themselves, but at the same time, it would have been adorable for them to stay together until the end. Of course, life does not work that way, and Takahiro portrays that well at the end of the series.This series definitely had me mesmerized, and I couldn’t put it down for hours. I’d recommend this to people who love action, bits of romance, and an all over beautifully crafted story.

This will be a short review for Volume 1 to 3. I was curious about this one, would it follow the anime (since both of them got out at the same time) or would it be totally different. Well, for most it follows the anime, but by Volume 2 I knew that there would be several things that would be missing. It was just not possible to stuff all that in one volume, unless you would make that volume a few sizes bigger. :D And in the end that came true. The manga stops after the whole who killed Ryuko's father thing. There is no mention about the life fibers, nor do the teacher and his friend make a big appearance, nor do we find out about Satsuki's mom, nor do we find out more about Ryuko (those who watched the anime will know what I mean). Instead we have the big battle between Ryuko and the Elite Four, followed by Nui popping up. It is a bit of a shame, I wouldn't mind to see all the stuff from the anime in the manga again, but I guess they decided that this was enough, or maybe they didn't get a chance to continue. Still it was a delight to see Ryuko again, to see Mako again. (I just love that girl. At times she seems ditzy and not that smart, gets captured often, but you can see that she has wisdom in her, and she is really caring and sweet, and also very dedicated.) Of course there wasn't much new things for me in this manga, but it was still a big delight to get back to that world and see old friends. I had quite a lot of laughs about quite a few parts, and I was cheering at other parts. It took me a bit to read this one, as reading German has gone down since I don't really read much German stuff, but I hope to read more and thus get my level back up again. :)All in all, I would recommend this manga to everyone. Though Oz’s sudden appearance in the midst of Pandora wreaks havoc, the initially chilly reception to the prison-breaker runs more than warm when Jack Vessalius, hero of the tragedy of Sablier and the man from Alice’s memories, manifests in Oz’s body. Sensing Oz’s resultant inner turmoil, Uncle Oscar drags Oz and company on a “mission” to Lutwidge Academy, where Oz’s little sister, Ada, is a student. But some carefree fun and a tearful reunion ten years in the making is not all for which Oz must prepare himself: crimson-cloaked foes are lying in wait to torture him for answers about the events of a hundred years ago…

Really, I can't believe how well Pandora Hearts progresses from volume to volume. I expected the story to start dwindling a little at this point from lack of character development or poor interaction with others, but really everything keeps building up to create a phenomenal plot with meaningful and wonderfully built characters.Although there was some things in this volume that weren't revealed that I would have liked to see, there was plenty of character development and plot structure revealed that kept me from losing too much of my patience. Some of the plot twists were obvious, but others gave me a tingle of excitement and delight, despite the gore involved in the scenes. In the end, the story rounded out nicely to the end of the manga, giving just enough of a cliff hanger to warrant buying the next volume, but just enough information to keep the reader from losing their mind.Each character seems to develop something unseen in previous volumes. Even the minor characters show bits and pieces of their characteristics that make them fuller and far more believable than even the volume before. Reim Lunettes, who I figured for a minor, unimportant character with a name, makes a much heftier appearance in this volume and shows that he's not just a name and a face. Major characters, such as Oz, even get an interesting twist in their personality. Odd, defining moments for characters emerge from the pages, especially for Gilbert, who gets more and more delightfully heavy as the story goes on.I can't wait for the next volume to come in (though I've already read the chapters online). To be able to read the next four chapters in the actual manga form with be such a delight.

I watched Kuroshitsuji first, that's why I'm so late in reading it. I liked it so much that's why I picked this out even though I finished both seasons. I thought the series was over.How wrong I was.Apparently, the anime industry has once again decided to end a series before the manga counterpart ended. I suppose I could understand WHY they'd do that but they should have stopped at a point where they could pick off again once the manga is far enough. Like Naruto! And Kuroshitsuji is surely popular enough that fans are willing to wait! Cheez. But enough of that.Kurshitsuji introduces the young Earl Phantomhive, Ciel, who inherited his title and his job as the Queen's dog from his deceased father. Forced to grow up faster than he has to, he juggles many responsibilities as the head of a house and the prefect of the underworld. Thankfully, he has his amazing butler, Sebastian, by his side. Sebastian can do and WILL do everything Ciel tells him. From cleaning up spectacular messes to performing superhuman feats, this butler is perfect in almost every way. Too perfect. Apparently, Sebastian is a demon Ciel made a contract with. He will stand by Ciel's side until Ciel finds the people behind his torture and his parents' deaths and exact revenge. And then eat Ciel's soul of course.I LOVE Kuroshitsuji. Not only is it set in the Victorian era (yep, Ciel is Queen Victoria's "dog"), it has a unique plot and such a loveable set of characters. I URGE you to read this awesome manga.

Rango is a pet chameleon always on the lookout for action and adventure, except the fake kind, where he directs it and acts in it. After a car accident, he winds up in an old western town called Dirt. What this town needs the most is water, but they also need a hero and a sheriff. The thirsty Rango instantly takes on the role of both and selfishly agrees to take on the case of their missing water.

In the walled city of Thneed-Ville, where everything is artificial and even the air is a commodity, a boy named Ted hopes to win the heart of his dream girl, Audrey. When he learns of her wish to see a real tree, Ted seeks out the Once-ler, a ruined old businessman outside of town in a stark wasteland. However, the greedy Mayor of Thneed-Ville, Aloysius O'Hare, has made his fortune exploiting the environmental collapse and is determined to stop the boy from undermining his business.

Flint Lockwood thinks he's a genius. But none of the things he invented are things that make sense or are useful. But something goes wrong and the machine ends up in the atmosphere. Later it starts raining food. The shifty mayor tries to use this as a way to help their community, but when Flint senses something wrong with the machine, the mayor convinces him to ignore it. However, as Flint predicts, chaos ensues.

A body-snatching alien takes possession of a young woman who refuses to surrender her mind, and together they seek out the man they both love as Writer and Director Andrew Niccol (Gattaca (1997), In Time (2011)) adapts Twilight author Stephenie Meyer's New York Times best-seller. The majority of the human race have been possessed by unseen invaders, leaving only small pockets of "wild" humans like Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) scattered throughout the world. With much of the world's population now an undead horde, R is a young and oddly introspective zombie. While fighting with and feeding on a human scavenger party, R meets Julie and feels an urge to protect her. What happens next is the beginning of a strangely warm relationship that allows R to begin regaining his humanity. As this change spreads through the local undead population like a virus, Julie and R eventually have to face a larger issue when the very nature of their friendship is challenged. After proclaiming "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!", the villain was then taken away to prison, and the gang was allowed to continue on their way to their destination.
